RUTH - WEEK 1 DAY 1

Read the entire book of Ruth.

Ruth is a short book in the Old Testament with only 4 chapters. (I’ll post the KJV in the comments in case you may not have a bible, or be somewhere that you do not have access to your bible)

It is said that the book of Ruth is the description of the Proverbs 31 woman. I also done a long and in depth study on Proverbs 31. I can see the resemblance because Ruth is a strong and loyal woman.

There will be many names mention in this book, but one key name is Naomi. Ruth is the daughter-in-law of Naomi.

A breakdown of the book of Ruth from my study book: Ruth is more than a store of a strong woman of virtue. It is a love story of a God who was sovereignty and providentially laying each piece of the story of redemption into place. The book of Ruth reminds us that God works supernaturally through the simple faith of ordinary people. The book of Ruth is about God using even the most difficult circumstances for the good of His people.

Read the book of Ruth because we will be digging deeper over the next 4 weeks into this book.

Lord please lead me and guide me to always do your will. I pray that this Bible study will be a light to someone, bring someone closer to you, and help me be closer to you. Give me the words to say and the understanding I need. I pray we all grow in faith. Help me to love like you, Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins. -Amen
