RUTH -- WEEK 1 DAY 5

RUTH -- WEEK 1 DAY 5

Week 1 :: Day 5 — Bible Study — Ruth

Read Ruth 1:15-18
15. “And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back into her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
16. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodge at, I will lodge: they people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
17. where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if aught but death part thee and me.
18. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.”

✨Intreat meaning to beg
✨Stedfastly minded meaning determined

Ruth has decided to stay beside of Naomi and help care for her— Ruth showed a high moral character of being loyal to Naomi with a commitment to stand my her side. We can also see how God protected and cared for both Ruth and Naomi.

When Ruth states that if Naomi dies she will stay where she was at is showing a huge commitment.

The study book states “Faith dictates our decisions. Faith changers the course of our lives. Faith gives us confidence under pressure and enables us to trust God against all odds.”

Reference to Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
🕊️We need to trust in God and not in life’s treasures. We need to find security in heavenly priorities and not earthly ones. (This is kinda deep— I like it)

🩵How does knowledge of God’s Word increase our faith?
I think that the knowledge of Gods Word increases our faith because we can see and understand the things that has happened when people in the Bible had faith in God. I know this Bible study is on Ruth, but take Daniel for example. He was thrown in a den with lions who was starving. He had faith and prayed all night and was safe. His prayer was answered. I also think that knowing that we have to call upon him when we are in need and seeing prayers being answered around us increases our faith.

🩵How does faith spur us to action?
God can use anyone at anytime to have your faith be put into action. We have to be willing to lend that helping hand and open our hearts and minds to others. Some challenges we come to in our lives may be extremely difficult, but if God brought us to the challenge then he will bring us through the challenge. We just have to have the faith.

🩵How does faith enable us to trust the Lord? I believe that we put trust into the Lord to guide us through our daily life mostly through prayer. We trust him to bless the food we eat so it may brush our bodies. We trust him to get us to and from our daily travels safely. We trust him to heal us when we are sick. Once we see Gods work and prayers being answered it seems to jumpstart our faith more, but we have to remember that sometimes those prayers may take time to be answered and we have to keep the faith. 🩵

🙏Dear Lord,
I want to thank you for keeping my family safe another week. Thank you for forgiving me or my sins. Help me to love like Jesus. Guide me that I may be a light and witness to someone.
-Amen
